Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.22%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM), which rose 4.45% or 6.90 points to trade at 161.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) added 3.47% or 45.00 points to end at 1,340.00 and Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) was up 3.05% or 3.55 points to 120.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL:NEL), which fell 2.43% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.21 at the close. Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) declined 1.76% or 3.35 points to end at 186.65 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NAS) was down 1.70% or 0.18 points to 10.42.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 137 to 129 and 37 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.28% or 0.21 to $76.04 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.26% or 0.21 to hit $79.50 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 11.99 to trade at $2,771.19 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was down 0.10% to 11.75, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.03% to 11.27.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 107.99.
